Tellus Smart II *new*
Tellus Smart I has been so very popular since it arrived in Australia last year. The positive feedback is about the loud and clear Australian RealSpeak, the slim-line size and the versatile Mind Express software. Many have requested scanning and now it is here in the Tellus Smart II
Tellus Smart II is slightly larger ( as you can see in the image below). The display is 4 inches, rather than the 3.5 inch of Smart I. While larger, the unit is more slim-line than the Smart I. Smart I weighs 320 gms and Smart II weighs 340 gms. The Smart II is in the foreground below.
Improvements are also in the areas of the human voice recording quality (digitized speech) which is excellent loud and clear; and the battery life is improved with a user changeable rechargeable battery.
Even better news is the revised pricing. Smart I pricing has been reduced and the Smart II price is lower than the recent Smart II price. That makes $6125 for Smart I and $6450 for Smart II.
LightWRITER modelsscontinued LightWRITER models *news*
There is a new era in the world of LightWRITERs.
With the imminent release of the SL40 LightWRITER in Australia, Toby Churchill Ltd have announced discontinuation of the following models (world-wide):
• LightWRITER SL5
• LightWRITER SL55 and SL56
• LightWRITER SL38
• LightWRITER SL85
Until the SL 40 is released in Australia we will continue to have access to the SL35 with DECtalk. VFD displays however, will replace the dual LCDs which are no longer available.
Toby Churchill Ltd has assured us supply of the SL35, DECtalk with dual VFDs for one more year.
Repairs of existing devices will be assured for 5 years as required by law. At this time we are repairing many LightWRITERs that are 10 years old and even older, so where possible the legal requirement will be exceeded with repairs being carried out for as long as possible beyond the 5 year point.
LightWRITER SL40 - the new LightWRITER is not yet ready for Australia. You will be among the first to hear when it is available as you are subscribed to the e-news.
Loan Equipment - is available for short-term trial. Devices can be requested for evaluation with clients in therapy sessions, and individuals can try the devices in their school, work, home or other environments. Please contact us to have your name added to waiting lists to borrow equipment. The only cost is to return the equipment by one of the nominated methods, usually registered post or express post.
